Seven Democrats Clash Over Health Care, Immigration and Iran in Race to Replace Seth Moulton in Massachusetts’ 6th District
BEDFORD, MA — Congressional candidate Mariah Lancaster joined six other Democratic contenders at a candidate forum hosted by the Bedford and Billerica Democratic Town Committees, where candidates discussed healthcare, immigration, foreign policy, and economic issues shaping the Sixth District race.
Lancaster, a Salem veterinarian and former State Department foreign affairs officer, emphasized the need for healthcare systems that prioritize patients over profit and highlighted generational economic pressures facing families and seniors.
During the forum, Lancaster also criticized recent U.S. military action involving Iran and argued that Congress must reassert its constitutional authority over decisions of war and peace.
The event brought together a crowded Democratic field competing to replace Rep. Seth Moulton, who is running for U.S. Senate, and served as one of the first major public forums where candidates debated policy priorities and contrasted their approaches to national and local issues.
