I was the first candidate in this race to call for the abolishment of ICE, the dismantling of DHS, and the impeachment of Kristi Noem.

The Republicans in Congress gave ICE $75 billion — enough to operate for the next seven years — they're killing Americans, and now Trump is asking for more.

Our immigration system should reflect our values. Allowing ICE to kidnap our neighbors across the North Shore and hold them in a detention facility in Burlington is not who we are as Americans.

I will fight to dismantle the machinery of fear and build a humane immigration system:

• Close the DHS concentration camps and impose a moratorium on new detention facilities

• Prohibit family and child detention

• End mandatory detention and all incentives for mass detention

• Abolish and prosecute ICE and Trump’s DHS leadership

• Repeal ICE funding from the "Big Ugly Bill"

• Pass the DREAM Act and create a clear, streamlined pathway to citizenship including amnesty for current U.S. residents

• Dismantle DHS, restoring TSA to the Department of Transportation where it belongs

• Require immigration agents to wear visible agency identification and body-cameras

• Establish a commission to design a humane, accountable civil immigration enforcement system

• Prevent the National Guard from engaging in immigration enforcement

• Reform immigration courts into an independent judiciary staffed by qualified, impartial judges

• Repeal the three-year, ten-year, and permanent bars to reentry for undocumented immigrants

• Restore Medicaid eligibility for immigrants and remove discriminatory Medicare restrictions on green card holders
